RAIL CONNECTED YARDS
Our clients often have specialist requirements for freeway visibility, or being near highly identifiable auto centers & showrooms, recreational vehicle RV lots, new truck sales, major repair facilities, auto rental facilities, fleet sales and auto auctions, or sales and leasing of heavy equipment.
Southern California is basically the epicenter of automobile culture in the United States.
The geography of Los Angeles & Southern California is such that to have any kind of a life one needs to drive an automobile. And despite rapid improvements in public transportation it’s still cars and trucks that make the whole culture & economy tick.
The majority of major international automobile manufacturers, particularly the Asian companies that dominate the field today, all have their automotive design studios & research labs in Southern California – predominantly in Orange County, because that’s where every important automotive trend originates.
Which all makes complete sense, because basically we live in our vehicles.
Industrial properties related to the importation, sales, or maintenance of vehicles – both cars & trucks, and to a lesser extent RVs – are a prominent component of the Elden Company’s Southern California business operations.
People need properties to store their cars & trucks, often thousands of them at a time.
And the entire port of LA, and all the goods entering the United States there from around the world – rely on the use of literally thousands of trucks, all of which need yards for servicing and storage.
There’s a transportation revolution underfoot, and with the environmental demands being placed on energy consumption & air quality new vehicles, many of them electric, will be coming to the fore, and public transportation, and the construction of new facilities required for it, will all need industrial automotive properties.
All these NICHE USAGES are RESOLVED BY THE ELDEN COMPANY FOR our extensive network of satisfied clients who CONSISTANTLY turn to US for properties REQUIRED for large-scale vehicle operations & parking. Why not join them?

There may be no more important issue facing the world today than addressing the serious consequences of climate change, and humanity’s direct involvement with the far-reaching effects of dramatic shifts in global climate, and its impact on the world, on nations, and on the very existence of life as we know it.
It is not going to be a few scientific discoveries that cause a sudden reversal of three centuries of human influence over the natural world. As a result of increased population, energy development, industrial commerce how we use the ample yet dwindling resources of the closed system that is our tiny planet really counts.
And naturally smart & sustainable business policies and practices in the world of commerce & industry will be one of the leading factors in how or whether or not we even continue to survive as a species.
FACILITIES
FOR
SORTING,
SHIPPING
& STORAGE
Here’s two obvious industrial niche’s that deals with environmental issues that represent major aspects of the Elden Company’s business;
The first is yards & warehouses required for storage and staging spaces for equipment & materials used in the construction of upgraded municipal power systems & utilities, as well as for the development of alternative energy systems such as wind and solar power.
Entire transportation, utility infrastructures, and power grids need to be torn up and remodeled or rebuilt, and a massive amount of equipment & materials are involved.
Another aspect of the green push includes the space required for recycling of all manner of materials for consumer, construction, or other industrial applications.
Recycling is a single term that covers a broad scope of applications. One of the most obvious and pressing issues is the widespread and ongoing proliferation of plastic products – which are a huge contributing factor to global pollution, particularly in the oceans.
There’s currently a floating garbage patch the size of the state of Texas drifting around in the center of the North Pacific, and about 88% of it is composed of plastic.
Industrial yards are a key requirement for this industry, and are used for the storage, sorting, conversion, and packing of; scrap metal, plastic, paper, wood, electrical components, concrete and stone, automotive, heavy machinery – and all manner of other components that need to be aggregated & subjected to recycling as a means of diminishing the impact of waste generated from human commerce & technology.
One of the more recent developments having a huge impact on this segment of industrial processes and property is the fact that China (and many other Asian countries) that previously were the endpoint for huge shipments of waste material originating from the United States are now refusing to accept it.
This points to a wholesale retooling of the entire American recycling industry. And because recycling is so absolutely critical to our getting a grip on the major environmental concerns that surround us, a natural outcome of this shift in industrial policy points to the need for evermore localized capacity for the storage & conversion of waste materials.
As a leading business firm that maintains an intimate working relationship with all manner of heavy industry inside of Southern California, the Elden Company has adopted a strong commitment towards the positive ethics that conscious & sustainable practices represent, which naturally includes all manner of recycling.
The Elden Company will be there to assist those who see both the intense need and the bold opportunity of a commitment towards recycling & reprocessing at industrial levels across Southern California and adjacent region.
The Port of Los Angeles prides itself on a new commitment towards environmental stewardship, creating fleets of clean trucks, keeping pollution out of the harbor, and applying best practices towards conservation.
The Elden Company stands with this policy, knowing full well that the sense of competition that exists in the business world needs to be superseded by our greater concern as professionals to ensure a better future, a greener future, for everyone.
